Where are VISA’s requested?

For foreigners to stay in Japan, they must acquire a Status of Residence.

Here is an example of how it is commonly done.

①Applicants can find a representative in Japan to apply for Certificate of Eligibility at the Immigration Bureau in Japan.
**representatives are your work, or your family with status of residence.

Immigration lawyer can work as an agent to create all the paperwork and contact the immigration bureau to finalize the process.

② By ①, Certificate of Eligibility will be granted. The representative or immigration lawyer will send the certificate to the applicant. Then the applicant can finally obtain VISA at the Japanese embassy or consulate closest to the resident by turning in the certificate.

③After that, when the applicant is going into Japan, the Residence Card can be received at the airport.
**The airports where you can receive the residence card are: Narita, Haneda, Chubu and Kansai airport. If you land somewhere else, the card will be mailed to wherever you officially hold your residence.

What can immigration lawyer do?

Our office has lawyer certified to be an agent for VISA applicants in this matter. The lawyer is registered in the Immigration Bureau under the Ministry of Justice as a certified agent.

In most case, you do not have to show your presence at the Immigration Bureau if the immigration lawyer conduct the application.

Half of it’s cost should be paid at the start of the action. When permission is obtained, the rest should be paid along with the stamp fee.

Any English/Chinese interpretation within an application is free of charge.

Transportation fee to these jurisdicted area of Osaka Immigration Bureau, and Hiroshima Immigration Bureau’s Okayama sub-branch is free of charge. Hyogo, Osaka, Kyoto, Shiga, Nara, Wakayama, Tottori and Okayama

These areas require transportation expenses.

Steps to Request

1. Contact

First, please call or E-mail us. We will answer to simple questions on the content.

2. Consultation in Person and Contract

We will meet at an appointed place and start the consultation.
Our policies and fees will be explained then, also about the contract.
Contract can be made on that day, or sent later.

3. Start of Application

After the retainer fee is paid, the application will start right away.
Our office will collect and create the requested documents.
The documents needed from the applicants will be explained as well.
Our office will hear carefully to provide the most suitable material for each case.

4. Application by an Immigration Lawyer at an Immigration Bureau

After all the documents are ready, the applicant or repretantative must sign.
When passport and Residence Card is needed for application, please entrust our lawyer with it.
The immigration lawyer is certified to keep the residence card for you.
Our immigration lawyer will follow and go through the procedures at the Immigration Bureau for the applicants and representatives.
In some cases, the immigration bureau will request for the applicant to show. In that case, our lawyer will come along.

5. Permission

Our office will be notified when the permission is granted. We will nofity the applicant and the representative right away.
After the full payment is done, we will go through a seal of verification and Residence Card, or Certificate of Eligibility will be handed to the applicant.
When not permitted, we will check right away the Immigration Bureau the reason, and apply again immediately.
